Yo Yo Bunnies

I teach a class at our township Senior Center.  The ladies in my class love to make fabric yo yos.  We recently made this family of Easter Bunnies for Spring.  They are made of felt yo yos of various different sizes.  We used dowels, doll heads and wooden wheels for the bodies and pom pom for paws. 

New Greeting Cards

I've been working on some new greeting cards using my die-cutter and hand-cutting images.  I'm using a little glitter here and there also.

The weather is nice today; doing some yard work; then a break to watch women's tennis.

Pineapple Quill Art

I enjoy quilling, but don't get to do a lot of it. I did this pineapple quite awhile ago. It took some time to do; getting all of the yellow pineapple pieces about the same size. I used water-color paper for the background.

For the frame, I took a stretched canvas and turned it backwards. It used it as a shadow-box. The frame was painted, cracked and edged in gold to give it a vintage look.

I've been working on some pretty Christmas Cards, gift tags and earrings to make the season fun.

More Sea Shells

This seascape is made from a canvas framed, turned backwards.   I used shells, yarn, paint and glitter to create an underwater scene.  I used a string of pearls and blue trim around the edges.

Sea Shells

This was one of our first projects.  Just a mason jar filled with shells, sand and a little glitter.

Summer is the time for trips to the shore, sunning and  shell collecting.  Over the years I've collected and bought so many different types of shells.  I love the colors, shapes and textures of these natural works of art.  I got to thinking of all of the different projects I've made over the years on my own or in my senior's and kid's programs.  I decided to take all of my projects and show off my "shell collection".  Here's a sampling!
